Roger Weems, recently returned from Vietnam, meets Nina Reynolds, a student activist, during a Kent State rally. A one-night stand becomes a ten-year journey as Roger and Nina navigate a relationship against the backdrop of a turbulent decade. Ten scenes set against various social events of the 70s provide a glimpse into a country trying to find itself, and two people trying to find their place in it. (Contains mature language/content.)
Michigan playwright Joseph Zettelmaier returns once again to the Williamston Theatre. He is the recipient of two Edgerton Foundation New American Plays Awards for Dead Man's Shoes and It Came From Mars, both of which were co-productions between the Williamston Theatre and the Performance Network. He is a four-time nominee for the American Theatre Critics Award for Best New Play (All Childish Things in 2006, Language Lessons in 2007, It Came From Mars in 2010, and Dead Man's Shoes in 2012.). His work has also won awards for the Best Locally Created Script and Best New Play (Ann Arbor News), Best New Play (Oakland Press and Wilde Awards), and has been selected as a part of the National New Play Network's Festival of New Plays. His play, And The Creek Don't Rise, is currently Williamston Theatre's best selling show.
