Farmers Alley Theatre has added four holdover performances for their hit rock and roll musical, Million Dollar Quartet - December 17th at 2pm, December 21st & 22nd at 7:30pm, and December 23rd at 8pm. Performed at WMU's Little Theatre on Oakland Drive, Million Dollar Quartet has already broken Box Office Records for Farmers Alley Theatre, and West Michigan audiences are clamoring for more!
December 4th, 1956 brought together legendary recording artists Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis for one night at the famed Sun Records Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. That night brought out all of the great hits these artist have made world famous including "Great Balls of Fire", "Blue Suede Shoes", "Folsom Prison Blues" and many more! Now, almost exactly 60 years later, their life and music are still celebrated and brought to entertaining life in this one-of-a-kind theatrical experience!
A supremely talented cast honors these legends with amazing individual performances led by Kalamazoo native Nat Zegree as the wild pianist Jerry Lee Lewis, Director Scott Moreau who has played Johnny Cash over 800 times, multi-talented guitarist Snake Osburn portrays Carl Perkins, and WMU student Josh White plays the King of Rock 'N Roll, Elvis Presley. The rest of the cast includes Kyle Jurassic, Hannah Hessletine, Max Bezanson and Matthew Smalligan.
