Water Works Theatre Company is celebrating their 10-year anniversary with a special one-night-only event: A Mid-Winter's Tale, this Friday, February 26 at 7pm at the Royal Oak Farmer's Market, 316 East Eleven Mile Road in Royal Oak, Michigan.
The event will feature original actors in scenes from Water Works Theatre Company's nine years of professional outdoor theatre in Starr Jaycee Park, the official announcement of its 10th Anniversary Shakespeare in the Park in Royal Oak production and director, and live music and dancing with local acoustic musical duet Meg & Tony. Tickets are $25 and available online at www.waterworkstheatre.com, and at the door with cash or check. "We started Water Works Theatre Company in 2001 to create a unique, outdoor event that provides professional and emerging professional artists the opportunity to work together, grow their talents and enhance the quality of life in our community. We offer our audience an affordable but full scale professional theatrical experience using paid directors, designers and performers. We even build the theatre itself from scratch every year. Plus, Water Works is the only event in town that does not cost Royal Oak taxpayers any money. The magic of this event is the synergy between its high quality, pleasant atmosphere, affordability and the all-important fact that it is home-grown. Over the years hundreds of local actors and artists have appeared in Starr Jaycee Park before nearly 10,000 patrons. It's been inspiring to share all of those memories with our growing and appreciative Shakespeare in the Park in Royal Oak audience. Seeing our tenth year approach, we can't help but to be re-inspired to achieve even greater heights" said WWTC Executive Producer and founder Ed Nahhat.Videos
