Two Muses Theatre, a nonprofit, professional theatre based in West Bloomfield, Michigan, will produce an original musical written and directed by local playwright, Emilio Rodriguez.
AWAKE! is a contemporary musical mash-up of fairy tales in which three familiar princesses grow tired of waiting for a prince to save the day and decide to take matters into their own hands. In this inspirational story, Sleeping Beauty (played by Shannon Hurst), Rapunzel (Meredith Deighton) and Snow White (Kryssy Becker) all discover in time that sometimes they have to take control of their own destiny if they want to have a fairy tale ending. Helping them come to that conclusion are the Evil Queen (played by Alyssa Lucas) and the Good Fairy (Jaclynn Cherry).
