Two Muses Theatre, West Bloomfield's newest nonprofit professional theatre adds a theatre camp for 9th-12th graders this summer. The camp will give high school students the opportunity to add a new role to their re?sume? by working with a professional director and performing in a Shakespeare play. The camp runs August 3-23, with classes and rehearsals held Monday through Friday from 1pm-4pm.
A Midsummer Night's Dream will be used as a framework to develop skills essential to pursuing theatre professionally, including diction, movement, voice, text analysis, and character development. The three-week program will culminate in a performance on Saturday, August 23rd of A Midsummer Night's Dream on the professional theatre stage at Two Muses Theatre in West Bloomfield.
Tuition is $200 with need-based scholarships available. Students entering 9th-12th grade in the fall of 2015 are eligible. The deadline to apply is June 30, and the class is limited to 20 students.

Two Muses Theatre, a nonprofit professional theatre dedicated to increasing opportunities for women in theatre, has an intimate 130-seat performance space located behind the Starbucks Cafe? wall, inside the Barnes & Noble at 6800 Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield (south of Maple). All funds raised from performances go directly into maintaining the theatre and contributing to charitable organizations centered on women and families.
