Tony n Tina's Wedding is considered the finest example of interactive theatre since it's opening in New York on February 14, 1988. Since then it has been performed in over 100 cities worldwide, including Japan, Australia and many European cities.
In the hysterical, interactive experience the Nunzio and Vitale family members, played by professional actors, bring every patron into the action. After the ceremony the characters intermingle, hobnob and reveal family secrets to the guests that are not soon forgotten. As the hilarious action ensues, audiences enjoy a traditional Italian Wedding dinner complete with a toast to the bride and groom and then dance to a live band.
For a dozen years, Detroit Actors Guild has performed "Tony N' Tina's Wedding" for more than 100,000 audience members since opening at Pontiac's Baci Abracci. Tony and Tina (Fred D'Agostino and Katie Ennes pictured in attached photo) are among ten cast members who have been in the show since its inception. One of the most popular theatrical productions ever staged in Detroit, the Off-Broadway production is also one of the longest continually running shows in theater history.
