Tony Bennett, Pink Martini and More Join 2016 Gilmore Keyboard Festival Lineup

Tony Bennett, Pink Martini, Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers and Dick Hyman were announced today as concert additions to the 2016 Gilmore Keyboard Festival. These performances round out The Gilmore's schedule for the upcoming Festival scheduled for April 26 - May 14, 2016. A two-week presale begins today for Gilmore Festival contributors of $100 or more. Tickets go on sale to the general public on January 23.

Patrons may place ticket orders at The Gilmore's box office, located on the first floor of the Epic Center in downtown Kalamazoo, or by phone at (269) 359-7311. The Gilmore also offers online ticketing at www.thegilmore.org.

Tony Bennett, winner of 18 Grammy Awards, will perform on Saturday, May 7 at 8 p.m. in Chenery Auditorium. Named a Kennedy Center Honoree, an NEA Jazz Master and a U.N. Citizen of the World, Bennett continues to advance his over six decade performing career; he has sold ten million records in the last ten years alone.

Pink Martini, with singer China Forbes, performs on Wednesday, April 27 at 8 p.m. in Chenery Auditorium. The group is led by Harvard classmates Thomas Lauderdale, pianist and group founder, and lead singer China Forbes. The group aims to present a blend of classical, jazz and old-fashioned pop music with inspiration from music all over the world. Their first single, "Sympathetique," became an overnight sensation in France and was nominated for "Song of the Year" at France's Victoires de la Musique Awards.

Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers perform in Chenery Auditorium on Saturday, April 30 at 8 p.m. Hornsby boasts several Grammy Awards, including 1987's Best New Artist, 1990's Best Bluegrass Album and 1994's Best Pop Instrumental Performance.

Dick Hyman opens the Gilmore Keyboard Festival at the Opening Night Dinner on April 26, beginning at 6 p.m. The event includes dinner at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts and an exclusive cabaret performance by Mr. Hyman at the Parish Theatre.
