Tipping Point Theatre Announces 13th Season In Northville Image

A block down from Downtown Northville's historic Main Street sits a white brick building on the corner of Cady and Griswold Streets. The full garden draws patrons to the front doors and into a cozy and modern industrial lobby, fit with new paint and carpeting. This is Tipping Point Theatre, a professional theatre that has been quietly producing high-quality stage shows for the last 12 years.

This local gem produces six professional shows each season and aims to provide a well-rounded season full of plays that will make you laugh, make you think, and create meaningful conversations about the world around us.

More than that, Tipping Point is just one part of a great date in Downtown Northville. With over 30 places to eat and drink in town, you can make a fantastic night out of your trip to the theatre. From coffee shops to bars, cafes to Italian eateries, not to mention frozen yogurt and ice cream shops around every corner, you don't have to walk more than a couple blocks from the theatre to experience all that Downtown Northville has to offer.

Tipping Point Season Passes for the 13th season start as low as $132 and are the least expensive way to see all six productions each year. Those under the age of 30 get an even greater deal with Tipping Point's new $65 pass. A complete list of Season Passes are available on their website at www.TippingPointTheatre.com or by calling the Box Office at 248-347-0003.

Tipping Point Theatre's 13th season include new spins on classics, rousing comedies, and Michigan premieres. First up is A Doll's House, Part 2 by Lucas Hnath that creates a book end to the Henrik Ibsen classic, A Doll's House. Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!) makes its return to Tipping Point, having been produced ten years ago to an almost completely sold-out run. Get ready for an Alfred Hitchcock thriller mixed with Monty Python comedy as The 39 Steps takes the stage at the beginning of next year followed by Kim Carney's World Premiere of her Michigan based play, The Baxter Sisters. Prelude to a Kiss, best known as the 1992 film starring Alec Baldwin and Meg Ryan, brings magic and romance to the stage before the uncomfortably funny and important show, The Thanksgiving Play, wraps up the season with its poignant topics of political correctness and cultural appropriation.

Tipping Point Theatre prides itself in hiring over 90 Michigan artists each year and continue to give to the surrounding areas whenever possible.

The intimate, 100-seat theatre provides a great view and an entertaining experience for every ticket holder. A night at Tipping Point is a great casual outing for adults. More information can be found on their website at www.TippingPointTheatre.coma?? or by calling the box office at (248) 347-0003.
