2015-2016 SEASON:

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

by Edward Albee
October 1-November 1, 2015
A dark comedy, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? portrays husband and wife George and Martha in a searing night of dangerous fun and games. Wit and wisdom are bandied back and forth in a comedic and poignant repartee. By the evening's end, a stunning, almost unbearable revelation provides a climax that has shocked audiences for years. Constellations

by Nick Payne
January 14-February 14, 2016
One relationship. Infinite possibilities. In the beginning Marianne and Roland meet at a party. They go for a drink, or perhaps they don't. Or perhaps Roland is engaged. Maybe they get married, or maybe their time together will be tragically short. Nick Payne's Constellations is a play about free will and friendship; it's also

about quantum physics, string theory, love, and honey. A Michigan premiere fresh from it's critically acclaimed run on Broadway at Manhattan Theatre Club. Written by Nick Payne. Directed by Suzi Regan.

The Othello Principle

An adaptation by James Bowen and John Manfredi
March 10-April 10, 2016
Othello is the greatest soldier of his age. A general, a leader of men and a fearsome defender of Venice against its enemies. But his success has created enemies, those that consider him an outsider and are driven by ignorance and jealousy to destroy him. This new telling of Shakespeare's tragedy adapted by Alabama Shakespeare Festival's playwright in residence, James Bowen, and the Network's Executive Director, John Manfredi, travels through time as it explores the universal themes of love, pride and prejudice. Directed by John Manfredi.

Summer Retreat

by Annie Martin
May 5-June 5, 2016
Amy arrives at a secluded cottage to complete a secret mission in the name of her old friend Nancy. But when the rest of her friends find out will they stand in her way? Hilarious barbs fly around in the dusty air as the situation becomes more complicated by the minute. This unplanned trip will keep you laughing as childhood oaths test the bonds of adult friendships. World premiere. Written by Annie Martin. Directed by Suzi Regan.

Pulp

by Joseph Zettelmaier
June 23-July 24, 2016
PI Frank Ellery doesn't know it, but he's taken on the strangest case of his life. A literary agent has been gruesomely murdered. The four suspects: his remaining clients, all writers for different pulp magazines. Frank dives into the mystery, and his world turns upside down as life begins to imitate literature. Science fiction, romance, adventure, horror...and one down-on-his-luck gumshoe who's about to learn what really lurks between the lines. NNPN Rolling World Premiere. Written by Joseph Zettelmaier. Directed by Joey Albright.
