Mid-Michigan's award winning professional theatre company, Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam Street in downtown Williamston, presents The Big Bang, Music by Jed Feuer with Book and Lyrics by Boyd Graham. Performances begin tonight, July 10 and run through Sunday, August 17. Tickets for this outrageous, musical comedy are now on sale.
The Big Bang begins with five Preview performances starting Thursday, July 10 at 8PM. During the first four Previews audience members will have the opportunity to take part in the process of creating a show by participating in a talkback session with the director following each performance. The Official Opening Night is Friday, July 18 with the show scheduled to run through Sunday, August 17. Performances will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at eight o'clock and Sunday matinees at two o'clock with additional three o'clock matinees on Saturdays starting July 19.

With a cast of hundreds, the overblown extravaganza they've written is the biggest thing Broadway has ever seen, and depicts the entire history of the world! From the formation of the planets right through the most important events to ever happen: Adam and Eve! The Pyramids! Cher! Will Broadway ever be the same? This zany song-and-dance romp will leave you breathless!!
The cast of The Big Bang consists of Matthew Gwynn (Five Course Love) and Zev Steinberg. The Director is Rob Roznowski (The Understudy). The production team includes Musical Direction by Jeffrey English (The Usual: A Musical Love Story, Five Course Love), Scenic Design by Kirk Domer (End Days, Dead Man's Shoes), Lighting Design by Alex Gay (Ebenezer, Red, White and Tuna), Costume Design by Karen Kangas-Preston (Tuna Does Vegas, Ebenezer) and Prop Design by Bruce Bennett (The Lion in Winter, Over the River and Through the Woods). The Stage Manager is Nan Luchini.
Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can for Thursday, July 10. Remaining Preview tickets are $15.00! Starting Opening Night, tickets prices are $25.00 for Friday and Saturday evenings, $22.00 for Saturday and Sunday matinees and $20.00 for Thursday evenings. Discounted rates are available for senior citizens (65 and older), members of the Military, students (with a valid student ID) and groups of 10 or more (booked at least 1 week in advance).
