The Sauk, Hillsdale County's community theatre, will present the Pulitzer and Tony Award winning drama, "Doubt, A Parable" for four performances this weekend only, March 30-April 2.

In this brilliant and powerful drama, Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal, takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the young Father Flynn of improper relations with one of the male students.

The Sauk cast consists of Deb Lemke as Sister Aloysius, Wyatt Huggett as Father Flynn, Savannah Mapes as Sister James and Melissa Paschall as Mrs. Muller. Lemke recently played Granny in The Sauk's production of "The Beverly Hillbillies" and is perhaps best remembered as Grandma Addams in "The Addams Family." Huggett made his Sauk debut last season as Will Bloom in "Big Fish." Mapes most recently played Jane in "Tarzan" at The Sauk. Paschall appeared in both "Tarzan" and "Big Fish" last season.

The Sauk production is directed by Trinity Bird with stage management by Moriah Livingston. The design team consists of David Griffiths (set), Kristin Hood (lighting), Jim Siler (sound), Travis Blatchley (properties) and Martha Warriner (hair). Jan Mackie is producer and Patti Spence is wardrobe supervisor. The costumes for this production are by Broadway Costumes of Chicago.

"We are extremely honored to be able to present this beautiful, moving drama at The Sauk," Bird said. "This cast is a dream. I can not wait for audiences to become part of this important, timely story."

All performances will take place at the Sauk Theatre, 240 E. Chicago in Jonesville. Performances are at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 3 p.m. on Sunday. All tickets are $10. Tickets can be purchased at www.thesauk.org or by calling 517-849-9100. The March 30 performance is a "Pay What You Can" preview. Preview tickets are not sold in advance.
