The New Theatre Project is pleased to announce its upcoming production of José Rivera's Cloud Tectonics. Pay-what-you-can previews will be offered on November 3 and 4 at 8 pm, opening on November 5 and playing through November 15.

All performances are at 8pm, Thursday through Monday. Performances will take place at the Pot & Box, 220 Felch St. in Ann Arbor. Free parking is available on site. Tickets are $15 or $10 for students/seniors/industry.

Cloud Tectonics features Samer Ajluni, Frank Gutierrez, and Jamie Weeder under the direction of New Ensemble member Ben Stange. The show is designed by TNTP Artistic Director, Keith Paul Medelis, and is stage managed by Michele Leshan.

Puerto Rican born and American raised José Rivera is the playwright of such revolutionary works as Marisol and References to Salavdor Dalí Make Me Hot and screenwriter for The Motorcycle Diaries. Cloud Tectonics, featuring Rivera's signature magical realism, is a lesser known work with so much waiting to be explored.

When Aníbal de la Luna, a modest airport baggage handler, takes in Celestina del Sol, a mysterious and troubled young woman wandering the streets of LA during the storm of the century, their lives are changed forever. Time becomes suspended as a chance encounter turns into a magical, powerful love that unfolds in one short night as the world around the pair continues for years. Cloud Tectonics explores what it means to find the love of a lifetime, el amor de toda una vida. Don't miss the heart-breaking and compelling conclusion to a love affair that has the ability to stop time.

Tickets can be reserved by calling or texting (810) 623-0909 or emailing tickets@thenewtheatreproject.org. At this time, we are only able to accept cash or check only at the door. All advance ticket reservations will receive a special gift at the theatre. Limited seating is available; seating is first come, first serve.
