The New Theatre Project will host A PLAYWRIGHT'S ROUNDTABLE: PLAYWRIGHT'S AND THE COLLABORATIVE PROCESS at the Mix Studio Theater on Sunday, March 18 at 8 pm. The evening will be hosted by Davi Napoleon and welcome several playwrights to join the conversation. The roundtable will focus on the collaborative process of theatre and the essential, and varying, roles of the playwright in this creation. The audience is welcome to join the conversation at any point in the evening.

TNTP will welcome playwrights Annie Martin, Michael Brian Ogden, Jeffery Allen Steiger, a recent playwright on TNTP's stage Audra Lord (Fugue), and TNTP's own Playwright-in-Residence Jason Sebacher (Posing, The Spring Awakening Project).

Davi Napoleon, a theater historian and journalist, did her undergraduate work at UM, where she paid her tuition with money from Hopwood playwriting awards; her Ph.D. in theater history is from NYU. She has been an adjunct in the English department at EMU, where she taught classes in dramatic literature and magazine article writing, and a visiting assistant professor in the theater department at Albion College, where she directed and taught 20th Century Theatre. She has been writing for national and local publications, often about theater, for over 40 years.

The Mix Studio Theater is located at 130 W. Michigan Ave. in Ypsilanti. There is a suggested donation of $10 for the event. All proceeds benefit the mission of The New Theatre Project to provide an outlet for collaborative, new work development in Southeast Michigan.

Tickets can be reserved at tickets@thenewtheatreproject.org or by calling the box office at (734) 645-9776. More info: www.thenewtheatreproject.org.
