As part of The New Theatre Project's mission to produce work centered around truthful, human stories, TNTP presents a special event titled The Story on Friday, June 24 at 8 pm. The Story casts audience members as storytellers in an event inspired by NPR's Moth Radio Hour. In what promises to be an evening that indulges the ears, eyes and the soul, TNTP will welcome local musicians Match by Match to play between stories. Local visual artists will also display their work for purchase.

Stories, songs, and artwork will all draw inspiration from the theme "Making Home". Tell us about a moment in your in your life that home was found, accepted, achieved, or made.

Doors will open at 7 pm for gallery viewing and Episode 1 of The

Story: Making Home will begin at 8 pm.

In the spirit of community, sharing experiences and coming together around art, audience members are invited to bring a dish to pass to the performance. TNTP will provide coffee, tea, and light refreshments. Tickets are $10 if you come with a dish and $15 without (cash or check only). All proceeds benefit the mission of The New Theatre Project to bring new works of theatre produced in ensemble-generated, collaborative ways.

Want to share your story? Please contact ben@thenewtheatreproject.org by Friday, June 17.

Performances take place at TNTP Studio, 220 Felch St., Unit 5, Ann Arbor. The theatre is located around the back of the building.

Tickets can be reserved by calling or texting The New Theatre Project box office at (734) 645-9776 or emailing tickets@thenewtheatreproject.org.
