The MT Project, housed under the umbrella of Center Stage Studios - a 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts initiative, is a program that coaches students who wish to pursue the arts, specifically theatre or musical theatre, at the collegiate level.

The MT Project was developed in response to the challenges that theater students face in pursuing their interests at the college level given most programs yield between a 1-10% acceptance rate. The MT Project takes the guessing out of theatre programs college application and audition processes by preparing students, who have so far had a 100% success rate being admitted into an auditioned program. Some of the top programs in the country, such as Carnegie Mellon, University of Michigan, and Texas State have either expressed interest in or have already scheduled dates to work with personally with our students this summer.

The MT Project is hosting a free information session which is open to high school students and their parents who are interested in pursuing an theatre arts education in college. This session will cover what an audition coach is and why having one is important, the pre-audition process, what to expect from auditions, how to choose audition material, and there will be a question and answer session at the end.

The free audition information session will be held Monday, May 23, 2016 at 7PM at Arts Detroit, 18614 Ecorse Road, Allen Park, Michigan. Registrations are currently being accepted at www.themtproject.org.
