The Encore Musical Theatre Co Presents Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Runs Thru 2/26

The Encore’s upcoming production of Smokey Joe’s Cafe, features "songs that provide the basis for an electrifying entertainment that illuminates a golden age of American culture. In an idealized ‘50’s setting, the classic themes of love won, lost and imagined blend with hilarious choreography and slice-of-life emotions. Featuring nearly 40 of the greatest songs ever recorded, Smokey Joe’s Cafe isn’t just great pop music – it’s compelling musical theatre." 

More about the show: "The show features some of the best songs ever written, including favorites like “Stand By Me”, “Jail House Rock” and “On Broadway” to name a few. And, as if the music weren’t enough, the cast at The Encore is stellar with familiar faces as well as the return of Tony D. Owens Jr. who last appeared as the jive talkin’ Chick Valentine in The Encore’s Club Morocco and the Encore debut of New York’s Amy Smidebush."

Guests at the official opening night performance of Smokey Joe’s Cafe on Friday, February 3 are invited to attend the Opening Night After Glow with cast and crew. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided along with a cash bar. Lunch will be served at The Red Brick Kitchen and Bar at 1pm followed by the 3pm matinee of Smokey Joe’s Cafe. Lunch packages include your ticket to the show, any sandwich with fries or side salad, a decadent dessert, a non-alcoholic beverage, plus tax and tip! A great value at only $39.
