The Dio to Present ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID, 6/19-8/2

The Dio - Dining & Entertainment, Livingston County's only professional dinner theatre, will present the "laugh out loud," Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten comedy, Always a Bridesmaid, a joint production with Two Muses Theatre, West Bloomfield.

In this hilarious comedic romp from the writers of last summer's hit comedy, The Dixie Swim Club, four friends have sworn to keep the promise they made on the night of their Senior Prom: to be in each other's weddings ... no matter what. More than thirty years later, these Southern friends-for-life are still making "the long walk" for each other, determined to honor that vow.

Always a Bridesmaid is the rollicking tale of four loyal and determined women who definitively answer the question, "Just how far are you willing to go to keep a promise to a friend?"

The cast of Always a Bridesmaid features six very talented Michigan actresses including Ann Dilworth, Wendy Hedstrom, Sonja Marquis, Amy Morrisey, Nancy Penvose and Fran Potasnik.

All tickets include The Dio's dinner buffet, a non-alcoholic beverage, dessert and the show. The menu for Always a Bridesmaid will include fresh, homemade bread sticks, house salad, vegetable medley, steamed and tossed in butter, vegetable lasagna with tomato sauce, ricotta and parmesan cheese, zucchini, squash and eggplant, and The Dio's signature boneless chicken breast, hand battered and fried to a golden brown.

Performances take place at The Dio, 177 E. Main Street, Pinckney Michigan, 48169 from June 19 through August 2, Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons. There will be one Thursday evening performance on June 18, and one Thursday matinee on July 2.
