The Dio - Dining & Entertainment, Livingston County's professional, award winning dinner theatre, is very excited to present the hilarious comedy, Greater Tuna, by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears, and Ed Howard, directed by Steve DeBruyne.

What do Arles Struvie, Thurston Wheelis, Aunt Pearl, Petey Fisk, Phineas Blye, Rev. Spikes and a Chihuahua have in common? In this hilarious send-up of small town morals and mores, they are all among the upstanding citizens of Tuna, Texas' third smallest town, and they're all played by the same two actors! Get ready to laugh out loud as Dio favorites Jared Schneider and Nick Pettengill bring these characters and more to life on The Dio stage in Greater Tuna!

Greater Tuna became one of the most produced plays in America in 1985, and went on to inspire an HBO comedy special, plus three stage sequels including A Tuna Christmas, Red, White and Tuna, and Tuna Does Vegas.

All tickets include The Dio's dinner buffet, a non-alcoholic beverage, dessert and the show. The menu for Greater Tuna will include fresh, homemade bread sticks, shredded broccoli salad with cabbage, carrots and red onions tossed in blueberry pomegranate dressing and garnished with sunflower seeds, fresh baby carrots sautéed in honey and brown sugar, mashed russet potatoes mixed with cream and butter whipped smooth and delicious, baked tuna casserole with alabaster tuna and fresh vegetables mixed with a savory cream sauce, The Dio's signature boneless chicken breast, hand battered and fried to a golden brown, plus dessert served during intermission.

Performances take place at The Dio, 177 E. Main Street, Pinckney Michigan, 48169 from July 15 to August 21, Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons. There will be one Thursday evening performance on July 14 and one Thursday matinee on August 18.
