Slipstream Theatre Initiative introduces a company first: a partnership with Theatre Nova as a Guest Artist, presenting the award-winning remount of A Night of Stars with Tennessee Williams. Join us for a tour of famous and infamous stars, led by a man admired by more stars than any other: the one and only Tennessee Williams! Appearances on the tour include Elizabeth Taylor, Marlon Brando, Bette Davis, Truman Capote, Katharine Hepburn, and many more along the way. As in all good tours, the history becomes almost more realistic than the present as the ghosts from the past materialize as flesh and blood. Written by Wilde Award-winner Maxim Vinogradov, this script recently won the Hopwood Award in Drama as well as the Dennis McIntyre Prize. It also garnered five Wilde Award Nominations, including Best Original Play, Best Play, and Best Script.

Returning from the original cast are Slipstream Artistic Director Bailey Boudreau as the iconic Tennessee Williams, audience and critic favorite, Jan Cartwright, last year's Rising Star Wilde Award winner Jackson Abohasira, Slipstream "heartthrob" Steve Xander Carson, and this year's Rising Star Wilde Award nominee Grace Jolliffe. New to the cast are Slipstream regulars Richard Payton, Jake Rydell, and company co-founder Luna Alexander. Rounding out the cast are Slipstream new additions Jeannine Thompson, and Sarah B. Stevens. The production is directed by Mandy Logsdon, with assistant direction by Erin Suchara. Technical design and execution are by Ryan Ernst, and Bailey Boudreau serves as costume designer.

Asking if he lived the right life, Tennessee and his assistant guide the audience through the museum of his hazy mind, revisiting lovers, siblings, and stars upon stars. But what happens when Tennessee tries to change the events of his past? What aspects of our legacy do we try to suppress, and which do we try to showcase? Slipstream asks what is worth keeping, and what is better off left undone. Be sure to bring a piece of your own legacy (that you don't mind giving away!) to add to the museum display!

The production runs weekends August 4th through August 26th, at Theatre Nova. Performances are on Saturdays at 8:00 pm, and Sundays at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Tickets are $20 and available via www.slipstreamti.com or by emailing InsideTheSlipstream@gmail.com. Theatre Nova is located at 410 W Huron St, Ann Arbor, MI.
