Four years ago, The Ringwald Theatre opened its doors with the play that will NOT be ignored! It's 2011 and the bitch is back! Joe Bailey returns to Ferndale's Ringwald Theatre as Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy, opening February 18th and playing for an exclusive 4 week run through Monday, March 14th. Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy, a parody of the quintessential '80s film, is co-written by Alana McNair and Kate Wilkinson and is full of boiling bunnies, big hair, a dream ballet, and even a Greek chorus!

The plot of Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy loosely follows the Academy Award nominated film. When a big-time corporate lawyer has a one-night stand with a no-nonsense business woman while his wife is away, all hell breaks loose. Skewering the film's blatant fear of the successful business woman in contrast to its celebration of traditional family values, the play adopts a chorus that comments on the action by using text from the Greek tragedy oeuvre. Running at a breakneck pace, this parody of the '80s classic tells its own story with a kinetic beat, a boiling bunny ceremony, and a dream ballet set to a beloved rock ballad.

Who Wants Cake? opened the doors to their resident home, The Ringwald, in May 2007 with a short run of Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy. Quickly, The Ringwald became a mainstay of Detroit's theatre community. Since opening their doors, Who Wants Cake? has been offering up slice after slice of successful shows including Southern Baptist Sissies, Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical, Killer Joe, The Bad Seed, The Book of Liz, Rent, and Evil Dead: The Musical. Who Wants Cake? was named 2009 Best Theatrical Troupe by Real Detroit.
