The Social Connection, the metro-area's hottest organization for young professionals, is again offering something for every partygoer by hosting three mega New Year's Eve events. The revolutionary New Year's Nation will bring together 10 major cities and 4 time zones at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. Resolution Ball, a huge bash for 1,500 guests, will take place at Detroit's Fillmore Theatre, and Tryst, an upscale and elegant affair for 1,300 discerning guests, will occupy The Ritz Carlton - all on Thursday, December 31, 2009.

"People want quality options for New Year's Eve and events that are tailored to their tastes, interests and budgets," says Regina Stocco, president and CEO of The Social Connection. "The Social Connection has carefully crafted three party options hoping to meet the needs of the metro-Detroit's young professional crowd - 20s, 30s and 40s," Stocco explains.

New Year's Nation (NYN) is a multi-city, fully interactive event that will interconnect Detroiters with nine other parties in major U.S. cities and Canada, including Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, and Toronto. Festivities are broadcast in real time from venue to venue, so guests will have the opportunity to interact with some 10,000 of their best friends across North America. As the clock strikes midnight in each time zone, club-goers can relive that magic moment over and over again, viewing the live broadcast on 15 giant screens. Also, a simultaneous web cast will allow friends and family at home the opportunity to tune in and watch the celebration live.

NYN in Detroit will feature Grammy-nominated DJ Urban Kris with Percussionist Jared Sykes s who will mix high-energy dance favorites until 4 a.m. Detroit's hottest party band, That 80's Band, will also perform live. All guests will be treated to a hearty midnight buffet, a champagne toast, party favors, a massive balloon drop and a state-of-the-art laser light show timed with the Times Square ball drop.

VIP tickets are $85 and include early arrival at 8 p.m. with champagne reception, premium four-hour open bar, passed hors d'oeuvres, food stations and private seating. General admission tickets are $55 and include a 9:30 p.m. start time and cash bar. For more information visit www.newyearsnationdetroit.com.
