The main objectives of the 25th Anniversary Script Preview Tour are to highlight Chelsea's arts & culture partnership model for original script development, raise a level of awareness of the leading impact & contribution the Purple Rose has on the American stage, inspire young leaders by giving our younger audience the tools to fully connect and engage with the Purple Rose and program partners, stimulate a more demographically & geographically diverse audience to embrace the material the Purple Rose will launch in it's upcoming season, and to build strong alliances and help promote other community organizations who support the arts and the PRTC mission.
The tour's live concert reading format will not only tickle your funny-bone, warm your heart, and take you on a thrill ride with snippets from 2AZ by Michael Brian Ogden, The Casting Session by Jeff Daniels, The Odd Couple by Neil Simon, Gaps in the Fossil Record by Matt Letscher, and Mornings At Seven by Paul Osborn, but accurately reflect on the PRTC's historical achievements and impact on excellence, gender equality, new play development, and answer the question, "What do the next 25 years hold?"
