The Purple Rose opens its 2013/14 season with the revival of PRTC founder and award-winning playwright, Jeff Daniels play, The Vast Difference. In the 20th anniversary of this production, George Noonan is having a mid-life crisis. The father of five girls and a flight attendant for a small Midwestern airline, he is scheduled to have a vasectomy. As he works up the courage to go through with the procedure, George becomes reflective on his struggles with his career, living up to his father's expectations, and the nature of "being a man" in the modern world. The Vast Difference contains mild adult language and themes.
The Vast Difference will enjoy a thirteen-week engagement at The Purple Rose Theatre Company from Friday, September 20 - Saturday, December 14, 2013. Press Opening is set for, September 27, 2013.
