Pontiac Theatre IV kicks off its 2013-2014 season with the 2005 Tony Award-winning musicAl Monty Python's SPAMALOT, Fridays and Saturdays, November 8-16, 2013at Pontiac High School.
Based on the hilarious 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, SPAMALOT turns the legendary tale of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table on its head with a chorus line of dancing divas, knights in tights, rude Frenchmen and killer rabbits. The show is directed by Steven Cunningham, music directed by Scottie Moilanen, choreographed by Sharon Heltsley, and stars a cast of sixteen talented actors. Tickets are $10 per person, $7 for students and seniors and available at the door. Monty Python's SPAMALOT features a book by Eric Idle based on the movie's screenplay by Monty Python creators Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. Music and lyrics were crafted by the award-winning team of Idle and John Du Prez. It won three 2005 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Director (Mike Nichols), as well as the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for Best Musical.
