Planet Ant Theatre presents two original sketch comedy shows, "Prim and Prepper" and "Diddle Rascals" in an American't Double Feature, running at 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights, October 19 through November 3, with a Sunday performance on October 28 at 6pm. Tickets ($20) are available online at www.planetant.com or in person at the Planet Ant Box Office, starting 30 minutes prior to show time. Tickets for opening night and the solitary Sunday performance are half-off.
"Prim and Prepper" tells the story of a banker and a teacher, who accidentally get informed about climate change and become convinced that the oligarchs have taken humanity to the brink of extinction. One chooses a path of hope while the other chooses to pull up a comfortable chair to watch the end of the show. Written by Andi Maziarz and Shawn Handlon, the original comedy is directed by Kelly Rossi.
"Diddle Rascals" is an original sketch comedy revue, directed by Andy Reid. As another political-campaign-cycle-circus heats up to its November election-day boil, the satirical sketch anthology targets issues ranging from corruption within the political system, to media propaganda, to voter fatigue. Sketches were contributed by artists in the Planet Ant community. The revue features Kaitlyn Valor Bourque, Nick Crestwood, Anthony Douglas, Erik Heilner and Esther Nevarez.
