Tickets are going fast for the Pinckney Players' final show of the season, Mitch Albom's "Duck Hunter Shoots Angel" at the Jane Tasch Theatre in Pinckney. This play is an out-of-this-world tale full of magical moments and unexpected second chances and has a surprise ending that few theatre goers see coming. It is perfect for an adult evening out with family or friends. Show times are 7:30 p.m. on April 17th, April 23rd, and April 24th with a matinee at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 18th. Advance reserve seating prices are $13.00 for adults and $11.00 for students and seniors and are on sale now at Busch's or the Community Education Office in Pinckney and Brighton Tux next to Gus's Carryout on Grand River in Brighton. Meet some more of our stars:

Thom Mellen
Thom plays the role of Duane Early, Duwell's older and much wiser ?? brother, "Duwell, if they turned Alabama upside down and shook it until everyone with a brain fell out, you'd still be in your kitchen." He was last seen on stage in April of 2009 when he played the role of Reuben in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Thom actually waited until he was 58 years old to make his stage debut. That too was right here in Pinckney when he landed himself the role of J. C. MacCleary in Dennis North's melodrama, Orphan Train. Thom works for Advanced Marketing Partners, a printing/marketing company, in Livonia. In his spare time, he likes to play golf, work out, and ride his Harley. Thom has one daughter who lives in Chicago and plans to make the trip to Pinckney to see her dad take the stage in this production.

Thomas Limbacher
Tom plays the role of Duwell Early, one of the Alabama duck-hunters who claim to have shot a celestial being, "Duane... that ain't a duck is it?" While Tom is a newcomer to the Jane Tasch stage, he is not new to theatre. He is actually rejoining the ranks of the Theatre World after a fifteen year hiatus. Prior to this sabbatical, Tom performed, directed, produced, or otherwise participated in over 100 productions. Most of these were in New England where he pursued a profession in show business. In 1986, Tom moved back to his hometown of Adrian, Michigan and became the Administrative Director for the Historic Croswell Opera House. At this point he came to his senses, met and married his wife, Lynne, and somewhat settled down to raise and spend time with his three children. Now they are grown and on their own and Tom is back to his old self on the stage. In his spare time, Tom likes to golf and ride around in his wife's convertible. Tom and Lynne belong to the Michigan T-Bird Club. Tom's day job is as the Service Manager of Fowlerville Ford.
