While the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company won't be making their annual visit to The Sauk in Jonesville this year, the two organizations will co-sponsor an online play reading this Saturday evening.

When the Duke of Vienna mysteriously leaves his post, his deputy Angelo is left in charge of the city. Angelo sets about enforcing strict morality laws that have previously been ignored. When a young man named Claudio is arrested because his fiancee is expecting before their wedding, Claudio's sister, Isabella, comes to plead for mercy for her brother. Meanwhile, the Duke observes all the events in his city by taking on a disguise.
Pigeon Creek is scheduled to bring a fully-staged production of MEASURE FOR MEASURE to The Sauk on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at www.thesauk.org. The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company is based in Grand Haven. MEASURE FOR MEASURE is the company's fourth production at The Sauk.
