The TheatreWorks USA musical production of children's story "Nate the Great" stops at Meadow Brook Theatre Saturday, February 28 at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Written by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat, "Nate the Great" has been a best-loved children's book since its publication in 1972. There are now over two dozen books in the series that has entertained and educated children for over 30 years. Based on the first book, this new musical tells the story of child detective Nate, who has found lost balloons, books, slippers and even a goldfish. When his neighbor, Annie, asks for help in locating her missing painting, it turns out to be the toughest case of his young career. Join Nate as he learns that solving mysteries is more fun when you have a friend and a big plate of pancakes.

"Nate the Great" is recommended for children ages four and up. Tickets are $15 and are available by calling the Meadow Brook Theatre box office at 248-377-3300 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Meadow Brook Theatre is located on the campus of Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
The production features lyrics and book by Mindi Dickstein (Broadway's Little Women: The Musical) and music by Daniel Messé. Dickstein and Messé previously collaborated on Theatreworks USA's The Mystery of King Tut, Black Beauty and Little Red Riding Hood.

TheatreWorks USA is America's largest and most prolific professional not-for-profit theatre for young and family audiences.
