Photo Flash: First Look - Purple Rose's THE VAST DIFFERENCE Extends thru Dec 21

The Purple Rose Theatre Company is pleased to announce a one-week performance extension of The Vast Difference by Jeff Daniels. Originally scheduled to close December 14, The Vast Difference will now run through Saturday, December 21, 2013. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

In this 20th anniversary production, George Noonan is having a mid-life crisis. The father of five girls and a flight attendant for a small Midwestern airline, he is scheduled to have a vasectomy. As he works up the courage to go through with the procedure, George becomes reflective on his struggles with his career, living up to his father's expectations, and the nature of "being a man" in the modern world. The Vast Difference contains mild adult language and themes.

Directed by Guy Sanville, the cast includes David Bendena (Chelsea, MI), Stephanie Buck (Chelsea, MI), Nathaniel Eyde (East Lansing, MI), Richard McWilliams (Dayton, OH), Rusty Mewha (Plymouth, MI), Michael Brian Ogden (Berkley, MI), Drew Parker (Ferndale, MI), Rhiannon Ragland (Gregory, MI), and Tom Whalen (Royal Oak, MI).

Founded in 1991 by actor and Chelsea native, Jeff Daniels, The Purple Rose Theatre Company (PRTC) is a leading American theatre dedicated to producing the new American play and creating opportunities for Midwest theatre professionals. The PRTC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit professional theatre operating under a Small Professional Theatre agreement with the Actors' Equity Association. The PRTC promotes the development of new American theatre and its practitioners, provides valuable educational opportunities for young artists, and, through consistently high quality production values, has earned the respect of both local and national theatre communities.

All performances will be held at The Purple Rose Theatre Company, 137 Park Street, Chelsea, Michigan 48118. Tickets will go on sale for the extension on Monday, November 18 at 10:00 AM. Performances for the remainder of the engagement are Wednesday through Saturday at 8:00 PM and Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday matinees at 3:00 PM and a Sunday matinee at 2:00 PM.
