Flint Youth Theatre - Michigan's Professional Theatre for Young Audiences presents "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" adapted for stage by Joseph Robinette, based on the book by C.S. Lewis. Performances for this thrilling new adaptation are Saturday December 2 through Sunday December 17. Tickets are now on sale.
Audiences will travel through the wardrobe into the magical land of Narnia in this one of a kind, on-your-feet immersive play. This thrilling adventure - which takes audiences through 5 different theatre spaces in FYT- is sure to be the theatrical event of the season!
"The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" is directed by FYT's new Producing Artistic Director Michael Lluberes (The Boy in the Bathroom, Peter Pan: The Boy Who Hated Mothers) and stars Janet Haley (Wilde Award for As You Like It) as The White Witch and Rico Bruce Wade (Fences) as Aslan.
The rest of the cast includes Evan Brewer, Syd Brown, Kyle Clark, Jordan Climie, Connie Cowper, Destiny Dunn, Andy Eisengruber, Jenah Khirfan, Britton A. Page, Edith Pendell, Addison Peter, Myah Sanders, Steven Sherman, Enrique Vargas and Zachary J. Wood.
The production team includes Scenic Design by Ray Zupp (The Jungle Book), Lighting Design by Ken Wills (Dear Evan Hansen, The Band's Visit, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Costume Design by Adam M. Dill (Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka), Sound Design by Matt Coggins (Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka), Fight Choreography by William Irwin.
Performances are: Saturday, December 2, 7 p.m.; Sunday, December 3, 2 p.m.; Friday, December 8, 7p.m.; Saturday, December 9, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. (College Night); Sunday, December 10, 2 p.m., (ASL interpreted); Friday, December 15, 7 p.m.; Saturday, December 16, 2p.m. and 7 p.m.; Sunday, December 17, 2 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors and teens, $14 for children (12 & under) and $10 for college students.
