The Emergent Arts Company presents an evening of comedy March 26 through 29 at The Riverside Arts Center in Ypsilanti.
In Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You by Christopher Durang, the good and wise sister answers questions on venial and mortal sins for the edification of her devoted students. When some rather dysfunctional alumni show up, however, the evening soon veers from an audience with Mother Angelica to a Tarantino-style melee, if Tarantino directed Saturday Night Live, that is. Use the restroom before-hand. The sister does not give hall passes.
In Confessions Of The Easter Bunny by Timothy Henning, our old friend Peter Cottontail just isn't feeling it anymore. Cornered by the demands of superstar status, an over-the-top egg production quota, and a snobbish addiction to Arugala, he hops straight from the annual Easter Egg hunt to the analyst's couch, let the plastic green grass fall where it may.
Local actors Liz Elliott, Marcelle Muller, Andy Jentzen, Dayna Smith, Scott Harris, Angelle Chandler, Amy Julia Cheyfitz, and director Tim Henning will be featured.
