Performance Network to Host SUMMER STAR CAMP for Kids, 7/20-8/2

Performance Network's Summer Star Camp is a two­week theatrical training intensive for middle and high school students, including recent high school graduates, culminating in a professional performance alongside award­ winning professional actors.

Cost of the camp is $700. Registration is available online at www.pntheatre.org/childrens-programming-and-events or by calling the box office at 734­-663­-0681. Early bird enrollment by April 1, 2015 is $100 off but participants must call the box office. Reservations may be made for 20% down ($140). The Network will offer 8­9am early arrival and 4­5pm late dismissal for $10/day or $25/week, per student. Scholarships are available for students demonstrating financial need.

Each morning camp students will have classes in core theatre arts curriculum including acting, movement, voice and scene study. Each afternoon campers rehearse alongside our faculty of professional actors under the direction of award­winning artists John Manfredi and Suzi Regan. Additional Master Classes will include Stage Combat, Vocal Music Performance and Scenic Design. Class size will be 8­10 students with students receiving excellent individual attention from a faculty with over 100 years of professional experience.

"Camp is going to be a lot of fun," said Suzi Regan, Artistic Director at the Network. "It's going to be a total immersion in how the Network makes plays, and students will walk away from this with not only a great experience under their belts, but real­life work training for their future resumes."

The schedule is as follows:

Monday­ - Friday, July 20­ - 24:

9am-12pm: Core class curriculum
12-­1pm: Lunch (bring your own­ peanut free)
1-4pm: Rehearsal

Monday - ­Wednesday, July 27­ - 29:

9am­ - 12pm: Core class curriculum
12­-1pm: Lunch (bring your own­ peanut free)
1-­4pm: Rehearsal

Thursday, July 30: Technical Rehearsal: 12-­8pm: Dress Rehearsal/Picture Day

Performances are July 31­ - August 2:
Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 3pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 2pm
