Performance Network Theatre's production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken, is being extended for an additional two weeks. The musical comedy will now run through Sunday, May 30th, at which time the show must close. LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is directed by Carla Milarch and features Jason Richards, Courtney Myers and Naz Edwards.
LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is based on the 1960 cult film about a floral assistant who becomes an overnight sensation by discovering an unusual plant. Catchy tunes, comic book creepiness and an R&B singing plant from outer space.
Artistic Director David Wolber said "We're thrilled that audiences have enjoyed our version of 'Little Shop.' It's always rewarding to have a bold concept like the one that Carla Milarch, Monika Essen and Naz Edwards created for Audrey II (The Plant) met with the joy and encouragement our audiences have shown. It's great that we'll be able to share this new envisioning of the play with audiences for a few more weeks."
LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS features set, costume and properties design by Monika Essen, lighting design by Justin Lang, sound design by Ken Faulk and choreography by Phil Simmons.
Weekly performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm.
