Performance Network Theatre is holding its second annual season opening cabaret celebration, Voyage, on September 16, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Voyage kicks off Performance Network's 2010-2011 season of artistic journeys with an evening of travel-themed musical and theatrical performances. The entertainers for the evening will be:

Charles Sutherland (with accompanist Andrew Anderson)
Matt Watroba
Kate Manfredi
Sarab Kamoo
Bill Bolcom and Joan Morris
George Shirley
Courtney Myers
Ellen Rowe and Andrew Bishop
John Manfredi
Carla Milarch (with accompanist Andrew Anderson)

Voyage references Performance Network Theatre's theme of theatrical journeys for the 2010-2011 Season. Each of the seven plays for the season have widely varied settings and time periods - to take the audiences on seven amazing journeys - each one completely different from the next. Executive Director Carla Milarch said "Whether it's Cuba, the French Revolution, 1928 on the Great White Way, or Pittsburgh in the 1930s... people can still step out of the ordinary - right here in Ann Arbor!"

Tickets are currently on sale for Voyage - there are only a few seats left! General tickets include the cabaret performances and the Afterglow reception with desserts and champagne. VIP tickets include the performances, Afterglow and a pre-show reception, starting at 6:30 p.m., featuring a luscious menu of Gastronomie Internationale from Ann Arbor's rich array of ethnic restaurants including Tio's, Shalimar, The Blue Nile, Arbor Brewing Company, Eastern Accents, Amadeus, Afternoon Delight, Whole Foods and Solterra Wines. General tickets are $100/person and VIP tickets are $150/person.

Tickets are available for purchase on our website, www.performancenetwork.org, or by calling our box office at 734-663-0681. Seating is limited so reservations are suggested. All proceeds from Voyage go to supporting Performance Network Theatre's general operating costs.

Founded in 1981, Performance Network Theatre has grown from a fledgling company to Ann Arbor's only resident, professional theatre. Performance Network also presents the Fireside Festival of New Works and a series of classes on theatre-related topics. The Network provides uncompromising artistic leadership in the region and produces works that engage, challenge and inspire audiences and artists.

Performance Network is currently celebrating its 10th season in its downtown home at 120 East Huron (Corner of Huron and Fourth). Since opening its downtown space 9 seasons ago, the company has grown into a regional leader, with a track record of winning more awards than any other theatre in the state. It has garnered national acclaim, including 3 American Theatre Critics' Association nominations and moved plays premiered in Ann Arbor to theatres nationwide, including one optioned for Broadway.

Performance Network brings joy and entertainment to 20,000 patrons each year, and its touring shows and family series light up the faces of 20,000 children. Its programs include the critically acclaimed professional series, the Fireside Festival of New Works featuring scripts in development, classes and workshops for children and teens and a late night performance series for developing artists.
