SUSAN CAIN'S revolution may have been a quiet one, but it has taken the world by storm. Since the publication of her bestselling book, QUIET: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can't Stop Talking, SUSAN CAIN has made a name for herself as the voice for those too timid to share theirs. She comes to Wharton Center this Monday, March 2, as part of the World View Lecture Series in Cobb Great Hall. Tickets to see SUSAN CAIN are available at the official source to purchase Wharton Center tickets online, whartoncenter.com, at the Auto-Owners Insurance Ticket Office, or by calling 1-800-WHARTON.

With her writing appearing in the New York Times and her book making a TIME cover story, SUSAN CAIN has proven herself to be a true champion for those quieter or out-of-place individuals who feel underrepresented in today's society. Her TED Talk, which has garnered over 7 million views, offers a glimpse at the thought process and "quiet revolution" Cain has worked so hard to instill in new age workplaces and schools across the world. Her line of "quiet spaces," done in partnership with workplace design company Steelcase, effectively produces solitary and silent spaces for introverts to work - an environment that is both stimulating and relaxing, allowing those of different minds to increase their personal work potential.

As the recipient of both the Toastmasters International Golden Gavel Award for Communication & Leaders and Harvard Law School's Celebration Award for Thought Leadership, as well as presenting one of Bill Gates's all-time favorite talks, SUSAN CAIN has made it her mission to afford everyone an environment in which to thrive. Her research, as shown in her award-winning book, covers everything from Asian American students who feel alienated by the U.S. atmosphere, to creating a personality that can offer up a "pretend extrovert" when needed. SUSAN CAIN has, without a doubt, started a revolution the likes of which the world has not yet seen. Her talk at Wharton Center will serve as a rallying cry for her "quiet revolution" and will delve into the psychology of human nature that shows just how powerful introverts can truly be.

SUSAN CAIN'S talk at Wharton Center will run approximately 45 minutes with no intermission. It is recommended for everyone high school-age and up.
