New McCree Theatre Opens 2009-2010 Season Ticket Campaign With HANGIN' OUT, Previews Begin 9/25

The "New" McCree Theatre, 5005 Cloverlawn, Flint, has announced the kick-off of its subscription campaign for the 2009-2010 Season. Season tickets are $40.00 for adults and $30.00 for students and senior citizens. They can be purchased at the theatre or from any McCree Theatre staff or Board member starting today. Season tickets can also be purchased online at www.buymccreetickets.com. The season's package consists of four main stage productions, including:

HANGIN' OUT, the Original musical by Charles H. Winfrey, with original lyrics by Charles H. Winfrey and Richard Battle, music by Richard Battle.
Previews: September 25-26, 2009, at 8:00 p.m. Regular Performances: October 1 - 17, 2009

A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS, a collage of dance and song celebrating the Holiday season. This production will also mark the debut of the new McCree Theatre Community Youth Chorus under the direction of Johnnie W.T. Person. No Previews. Regular Performances: December 17-19, 2009

LET NOBODY TURN ME ‘ROUND, Written by Reuben Yabuku, musical celebrating the life of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movement. Previews: February 12-13, 2010, at 8:00 p.m. Regular Performances: February 18 -March 3, 2010

A TRIBUTE TO MOTOWN: An American Dream Story, written by Charles H. Winfrey and Richard Battle. This musical commemorates the legacy of Motown music and those who made this American success story possible. Previews: May 7 - 8, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Regular Performances: May 13-29, 2010.
All regular performances will be held on Thursday (two for one night) and Friday at 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
