Melissa Etheridge is an Academy Award-winning and two-time Grammy Award-winning rock singer-songwriter and musician. Etheridge has released ten albums in her career; three have gone multi-platinum, two platinum, and two gold. In 1996 she was awarded ASCAP’s Songwriter-of-the-Year Award, and in 2001 the Gibson Guitar Award for Best Rock Guitarist: Female. On September 27, 2011, Melissa was honored with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
