Love singing? Come and enjoy performing some of your favorite songs in a casual and fun atmosphere.
Miller presents Kzoo Sings! is a drop in, no-commitment singing event open to anyone who likes to sing new arrangements of pop songs. Miller will host the event once a month on Thursday nights. Most evenings will be held on the Grand Tier level lobby at Miller, but there may be some evenings when we take the show on the road to other locations around Kalamazoo.
Our second Kzoo Sings! event will be on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 7 - 9 p.m. There will be a small $5 cover charge. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. There will be a full cash bar and complimentary snacks.
Here how it works: You show up and get a lyric sheet. You will join a group of highs, mids or lows led by our Music Director, Larry Lowis, and by the end of the night, master three-part harmonies. Sessions may be recorded so you will have something to share!
No music reading ability is required and no auditions will be conducted-everyone is welcome! All you have to do prior to arrival is to listen to the song that will be sung.
For our October Kzoo Sings!, we will be learning and singing "California Dreamin'" by The Mamas and The Papas.
