Chill out at the Michigan Theater!

Ann Arbor Art Fair is back! Once again, the Michigan Theater will be the coolest place in town during the annual Ann Arbor Art Fairs Wednesday, July 15 through Saturday, July 18. Our summer favorite menu items return: beer, grilled bratwurst sandwiches, hot dogs, soft drinks, wine, bottled water, popcorn as well as treats from our concession stand.

Visitors will be treated to FREE organ concerts on the theater's 1927 Barton Pipe organ at 1:30 pm each day Wednesday through Saturday.

And for those who prefer to stay out in the sun, Zingerman's Creamery will be serving up gelato, sandwiches and cold coffee drinks out in front of the theater from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm Wednesday-Friday and 10:00 am until 6:00 pm on Saturday.

Guests can choose to enjoy their food and beverages at large tables in the air-conditioned Grand Foyer - or pick up a sandwich and a bottle of water to go. Our clean restrooms are open to the public.

Movie offerings for the week include ICE AGE: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS IN 3-D, CHERI starring Michelle Pfeiffer, and SUMMER HOURS starring Juliette Binoche. Please visit our web site for a complete schedule and showtimes: www.michtheater.org.

Ann Arbor's Michigan Theater combines living history with a singular dedication to the finest film and live entertainment available today. We offer two auditoriums: the Historic Theater and the Screening Room; find out more about each below. You can also take one of our illustrated tours. View the theater today after its loving restoration, and learn about its history and about a Michigan treasure: the Barton Theatre Pipe Organ, one of the only theater organs in existence that is still played in its original home on a regular basis.
