Vocalist Kate Brennan and pianist Harvey Reed will present their jazz cabaret show "The Melody Lingers On" with Paul Keller on bass, tonight, June 14 at Matrix Theatre located at 2730 Bagley in the heart of southwest Detroit's Mexicantown. The show begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $50. Seating is limited.

Brennan describes this show as a collection of some of her favorite melodies from the American Songbook. "It was hard to choose, but I think it's a selection that has something for everyone," she said.

Brennan and Reed have been sharing their special brand of jazz cabaret with audiences since 1992 when they took to the stage at the Whitney Restaurant on its Jazz on 3 series. Since then, they have performed at Kerrytown Concert Hall in Ann Arbor, Orchestra Hall, Cuisine Restaurant, and numerous other local venues.
