The Matrix Teen Company continues their annual tradition of striking fear into the hearts of audiences with their limited engagement, HAUNTED THEATRE.

Performances are tonight, October 30, and tomorrow, October 31, at 8:00 PM and are presented at Matrix Theatre Company, 2730 Bagley Street in the heart of Detroit's Mexicantown. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. For further information or to order tickets, go to www.matrixtheatre.org, or call (313) 967-0599.

Written and performed by the Matrix Teen Company, this year's production of HAUNTED THEATRE tells the story of a small, yet diverse, group of high school students who all receive mysterious, exclusive invitations to attend one of Detroit's premier haunted house attractions. However, when the teens arrive at the haunted house, they find they are in for much more than they bargained. Like being trapped inside of a game, they must fight their way through if they plan to survive. Will they make it out alive or will they succumb to the sinister and shadowy forces seemingly controlling their every move?

"We are very proud of the work our teens have done in writing this play," said Andrea Scobie, director of Teen Company and the production. "They have written in some audience interaction, a first for Haunted Theatre! The audience will get to make some choices that influence what our characters do on stage, and aside from being a new challenge for our actors, we think it'll be a really fun experience for patrons as well."

The Matrix Teen Company is Zaria Bell (Detroit), Gabrielle Clayton (Detroit), Tanai Dawson (Detroit), Ethan Kankula (Wyandotte), Celynah Kirkland (Detroit), Hassan Marong (Detroit), Yasir Muhammad (Detroit), Joelle Sanders (Detroit), Heavyn Word (Detroit), and Dwayne Wright (Detroit).

Celebrating 25 years as a non-profit community-based theatre, Matrix Theatre Company is located in southwest Detroit and uses the transformative power of theatre to change lives, build community and foster social justice.
