The World Premiere of Jim Henry's suspenseful drama BROTHER OF ALL will have a Champagne Celebration tonight, March 27 at the Detroit Repertory Theatre at 8:30 PM. Opening Nights at the Rep are always full of camaraderie and celebration. This one will be no different. Guests are invited to join in a Champagne toast in the elegant lobby gallery of the Theatre after the show with the cast, crew and playwright who is flying in for this special occasion of the premiere of his play.

Tickets are still the lowest for professional theatre in the region at $17 advance or $20 day of performance, and may be purchased by calling (313) 868-1347. BROTHER OF ALL will run Thursdays through Sundays until May 18, 2014. More information may be found at detroitreptheatre.com

About the play: Leonard was just 8 years old when he, his brother Jonathan and their friend, Wohali, rubbed bloody palms together and took a Cherokee Blood Brothers forever oath. It was the greatest day of his life. Now he is being interrogated by a forensic psychologist and all three are suspects in a mysterious death. Playwright Jim Henry turned to Cherokee legends in search of something spiritually higher that tied to the story he was telling, "I came upon some legends that connected with me and I felt in some way connected to my story." BROTHER OF ALL challenges our notions of loyalty and brotherhood.

About the Production: Local professional actor and director Lynch Travis (DEARBORN) makes his directing debut at the Rep with BROTHER OF ALL. Detroit Repertory Theatre audiences are familiar with his many stage performances at the Rep including his award winning performance in BURYING THE BONES two seasons ago. His cast features two beloved Rep veterans, Harold Uriah Hogan (SOUTHFIELD) and Jennifer Jones (DETROIT). Three new members of the Repertory round out the cast as the blood brothers, William Bryson (HARPER WOODS), Dan Johnson (ANN ARBOR) and Michael Lopetrone (DETROIT).

Showtimes and Tickets BROTHER OF ALL opens March 27, 2014 and runs every Thursday though Sunday until May 18, 2014. All tickets, fundraisers, Bargain Booklets, and Subscriptions will remain the most affordable for not-for-profit professional theatre in the Region. General admission is $17 per ticket in advance and $20 the day of performances. The Rep's "Anytime, Multi-use" Gold Double Subscription for two is the unmatched price of $100 and a Silver Single Subscription stays at $50. 10-ticket Bargain Booklets, Regular and Matinee are $110 and $100 respectively and still make great mini-fundraisers. Tickets may be purchased by phone without a surcharge using Visa or MasterCard.

For tickets, fundraiser bookings and information call or visit the Rep Box office (313)868-1347 or website www.detroitreptheatre.com. Parking is guarded, fenced-in and free.

About the Rep: The oldest professional (Union) non-profit theatre in the State of Michigan, the Detroit Repertory Theatre's mission is guided by the belief that the sense of community is stronger than the forces that splinter and
that efforts to preserve unity deserve the same attention and support as the justly cultivated efforts to retain diversity. The implicit goal in all the theatre's efforts is to produce the best possible professional theatre while
fostering cultural democratization of the arts, and fighting by example, the disturbing level of racism that still exists.

Detroit Repertory Theatre is located in the geographical heart of the city at 13103 Woodrow Wilson, Detroit, MI 48238.
