Olympia Entertainment and Fifth Third Bank have announced the lineup for the annual Fifth Third Bank Holiday Series at the Fox Theatre featuring winter classics and new seasonal sensations.

"The long standing tradition that Olympia Entertainment has in providing quality programming for the holidays continues to be strengthened by our partnership with Fifth Third Bank," said Tom Wilson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Olympia Entertainment. "We believe that their support over the past years has truly helped us in our mission of bringing families downtown to experience the wonder of the season."

This year's Fifth Third Bank Holiday Series lineup features:

Sister's Christmas Catechism "The Mystery of the Magi's Gold" (Friday, Nov. 29 - Sunday, Dec. 8 at the City Theatre): It'sCSI: Bethlehem in this holiday mystery extravaganza as Sister takes on the mystery that has intrigued historians throughout the ages - whatever happened to the Magi's gold? Retelling the story of the nativity, this hilarious holiday production uses Sister's own scientific tools, assistance of a local choir, as well as a gaggle of audience members, to create a living nativity unlike any you've ever seen.

Cirque Dreams Holidaze (Tuesday, Dec. 3 - Saturday, Dec. 7): Renowned director Neil Goldberg re-imagines the holiday season with sparkle and suspense one can only dream of in a "holidaze". Cirque Dreams Holidaze features an international cast of 30 artists who transform into gingerbread men flipping mid-air, toy soldiers marching on thin wires, snowmen daringly balancing, icemen powerfully sculpting, penguins spinning, puppets caroling and reindeer soaring high above a landscape of holiday wonderment. Some holiday favorites accompany an original musical score with hundreds of stunning costumes adorning a magical tree of dreams in a setting of gigantic gifts, colossal candy canes and 30-foot tall towering toy soldiers.

Gary Hoey "Ho Ho Hoey's Rockin' Holiday Show" (Friday, Dec. 13 at the City Theatre): With a collection of 18 albums and five top 20 Billboard hits, Gary Hoey is listed in the top 100 greatest guitar players of all time. Whether Hoey plays rock, blues, surf or Christmas, Hoey's command of each style makes his live show one of the most exciting on the circuit today. The first Gary Ho Ho Hoey album (1995) was an idea to put a rock edge on Christmas classics; it was an instant hit at radio and sold over 350,000 copies and has been a staple at most rock stations around the country ever since.

Karen Newman "Christmas Eve on Woodward Avenue" (Wednesday, Dec. 18): Detroit's own Karen Newman, who has captivated crowds at Joe Louis Arena with her signature rendition of the national anthem, will once again celebrate the season at the Fox Theatre performing her hit single "Christmas Eve on Woodward Avenue," original songs and other holiday favorites.

The Christmas Music of Mannheim Steamroller by Chip Davis (Saturday, Dec. 21): Don't miss America's favorite holiday celebration of the last 25 years. Grammy Award-winner Chip Davis has created a show that features the beloved Christmas music of Mannheim Steamroller along with dazzling multimedia effects performed in an intimate setting.

Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker* (Sunday, Dec. 22): Celebrate this Christmas with Moscow Ballet's world famous production of the Great Russian Nutcracker! Forty star-studded Russian artists perform Olympian feats in the Holiday classic seen by millions. Don't let your family miss the performance of a lifetime, full to the brim with magical toys, falling snow, growing Christmas trees and astounding Russian dancers.
