Go Comedy! Presents $1000 Bailout Improv Tournament Spectacular 3/3

Go Comedy! Improv Theater is set to give away $1000 during BITS, the largest cash prize ever awarded for an improv tournament in Detroit.

Beginning Wednesday, March 3 and running for 15 weeks, Go Comedy! will host the Bailout Improv Tournament Spectacular (BITS). Sixteen improv teams from across metro Detroit will compete every Wednesday night at 8pm in a single elimination tournament for a $1000 cash prize. Each week, two teams will face off on the Go Comedy! stage with just 22 minutes to impress the audience with their skills. At the end of the hour, the audience will choose by secret ballot the winning team which will continue in the tournament. The audience favorite will be announced each week during the 9pm show, Proving Grounds that evening.

Registration for BITS is now open and continues through 5pm, Tuesday, February 23. A $50 per team entrance fee includes registration and postcards for teams to promote their performance(s) in the tournament. Interested improv teams can register by sending their team name, team contact, contact information,a list of team members, and additional information including links to websites or videos to bailout@gocomedy.net.

BITS is a fully improvised tournament where all improvisational forms are accepted, but no written material is allowed. The 16 teams selected for the tournament will be announced during Proving Grounds on Wednesday February 24.
