Go Comedy! Announces Fall Lineup

As Go Comedy! approaches its Tenth anniversary, it's proud to present its latest original comedy, Three Two One Thursday evenings at 8:00pm September 13 through November 1. Tickets for all Go Comedy! shows are on sale online at www.gocomedy.net or in person starting at 6:00pm Wednesday through Sunday at the Go Comedy! Box Office.

Three acts. Two men. One because it's the next number. Joe Hingelberg and Travis Pelto, award-winning creators of Go Comedy!'s Wirelessless and White Elephant, return with three separate sketch shows packed into one absolutely absurd entertainment. Hop on the Joe-and-Trav train for several stories of showmanship, friendship, and lunchtime. Directed by Bryan Lark, with assistant director Chris Fortin. Three Two One appears at Go Comedy! Thursday evenings at 8:00pm September 13 - November 1 with an 8:00pm performance on Friday, September 21. Tickets are $10.

Additional shows appearing at Go Comedy! in September include: Female Hysteria Go Comedy! presents an evening showcasing all female / female identifying improv troupes followed by a ladie's' improv jam.

Wednesday, September 19 @ 8:00pm | Tickets: $10 True Colors Come Out & Play Go Comedy! presents an evening showcasing troupes and performers from Metro Detroit's LGBTQ community followed by an open improv jam.

Wednesday, September 26 @ 8:00pm | Tickets $10 Let's Just Say An evening of storytelling from various Detroit artists. True stories, vulnerable storytellers, heartwarming anecdotes, cheap drinks, big laughs. Let's just say it'll be a good time.

Thursday, September 13 @ 9:30pm | Tickets: $10 NEWSish Presents Hot Takes The NEWSish team is back with a brand new show. Hot Takes is a combination of news headlines, special guests, panel discussions and improv based on current affairs and more.

Thursday, September 20 @ 9:30pm | Tickets: $10 The Go Comedy! All Star Showdown The theater's signature show continues to be The Go Comedy! All Star Showdown which has played on Friday and Saturday nights continually for nearly 10 years.

Featuring members of GoComedy!'s resident company, The All Star Showdown puts two teams of improvisers in an improv competition tailored to challenge their abilities, think on their feet and give audiences a roaring good time. The cast also plays for audience members who take home fabulous prizes when their team wins. It's a night of hilarious laughs and great times!

Friday, September 14 & 28, Saturdays September 15, 22, & 29 Tickets: $18 Pandemonia More improv than you can shake an invisible stick at! 12 comedians vie for laughs, love and points to see who can be the last one standing through a series of comedic scenes, songs, and even party games. Audience suggestions pave the way for a wild night of improv comedy. Not to be missed! Pandemonia features a rotating cast.

Friday, September 21 @ 10:00pm | Tickets: $18 The Sunday Buffet The best improv troupes in metro Detroit join the Go Comedy! launch group Hot Gold for a great variety of the delicious long-form scenic improv.

Sundays @ 7:00pm | Tickets: $10 Fresh Sauce Go Comedy!'s original open improv jam. Anyone can sign up to play short form games with other audience members. No experience required.

Sundays @ 9:00pm | FREE Forever Fifteen Joe Hingelberg and Travis Pelto met at the ripe age of 15 in their high school improv club, and have been performing together ever since. After asking the audience where they see themselves in 15 years, Joe and Travis perform an improv set that is equal parts fast, grounded, hilarious and ludicrous.

Sundays @ 10:00pm | Tickets: $5 Family Friendly All-Star Showdown A family-friendly version of The Go Comedy! All-Star Showdown. Go Comedy! takes it's popular weekend show and makes it Family Friendly for everyone! The game show features a series of short improv games, challenges and more.

TEN years of original comedy In the fall of 2008 the former Ferndale Secretary of State office was transformed into Go Comedy! Improv Theater - a catalyst for hundreds of original shows, a robust improv academy, and an incubator for innovation, inspiration and integrity. Tjhe theater is celebrating its 10th anniversary and is home for hundreds of improvisers, at least 50 improv troupes, and a weekly schedule of hilarious award-winning programming that has garnered local and national recognition.
