The Farmington Players are looking for actors for their upcoming play, "You Can't Take it With You," a comedy By George S. Kaufman & Moss Hart.
When two people fall in love, it's time for their families to meet - families from both sides of the tracks. This Pulitzer Prize-winning play treats a showdown of American values as a screwball comedy, demonstrating that goodness and love can prosper if people are bold and brave enough to be themselves.
The play is set in NY City, in the neighborhood of Columbia University; 1936-37. All action takes place in the "LivingRoom" of the Martin Vanderhoff home, over the course of one week.
New York accents will not be used. Ages are suggested. It is not important that actors be able to portray something near the suggested age.
