Battle Creek, MI - The Battle Creek Metropolitan Area Moustache Society (BCMAMS) is set to hold its annual Stache Bash tonight, November 28th at 7:00pm to be held at Battle Creek's Cricket Club. The event -- a whimsical mustache and beard competition -- raises funds each year to help support a local nonprofit. The recipient this year will be Binder Park Zoo. Participants are encouraged to wear jungle attire in honor of the chosen charity. Cost to attend is $5 per person. Visit www.bcmams.com.

The very first Stache Bash took place in 2008; the same year the BCMAMS was formed. Now eight years later the event is still going strong and still raising funds for area nonprofits. The Stache Bash has been responsible for raising financial support for local charities like: The Haven of Rest, Charitable Union, Staff Sergeant Joshua Throckmorton Memorial Scholarship, Pink Ribbon Riders, Sprout Urban Farms, S.A.F.E. Place, and the Calhoun County Animal Shelter. This year event organizers from the BCMAMS have their sights high to help support the Zoo.

"The group itself formed to provide fun events for our community that we would like to personally participate in as well," states Benjamin Duval BCMAMS Board Member. "We all live or work in the Battle Creek area and enjoy being a part of this group. The charity aspect of our events has always been an added bonus. We focus on local organizations only and enjoy being able to support our local charities, while having a hairlariously fun time."

The competition remains the same year after year with contests and awards for best mustache, the worst mustache, the biggest mustache, and a specific category for the women who enter the competition, and rather recently themes have been added to the evening events where participants can dress the part of the chosen theme. "You never know who or what you will run into the night of the event. This keeps it exciting and always evolving," states Duval.

Stache Bash takes place on November 28th at 7:00pm at The Cricket Club in Battle Creek located at 36 Michigan Ave W. Cost to participate is $5 per person. To contact the BCMAMS visit them online at www.bcmams.com or call (269) 753-2111.
