May 16 will be the second in a fun series at The Mix with an all star performance by the very best comics who have appeared at The Mix UNclub Sunday night standup show. Show starts at 8 pm, Saturday May 16, at The Mix Studio Theater, 8 N. Washington, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. All seats $10, available at www.emergentarts.com.

Veteran headliner and emcee Mark Sweetman will host an evening of professional comedy with guests Norm Stulz, Sr., Amy Probst, Khurum Sheikh, Chillian Thomas, and Marty Smith. Come out to the Mix for a show that will definitely give you something to talk about at the water cooler the following Monday. The best $10 you'll spend all week.

Mark Sweetman has performed in L.A., New York, Detroit and Las Vegas, and colleges all over the country. He has appeared on A&E's "An Evening at The Improv" and "Comedy on the Road" (for which he received an Ace Award), and FOX's "Comic Strip Live" and "Comedy Express".

Norm Stulz has appeared on HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime and in comedy specials on NBC and ABC. His comedy material can be heard on "The Bob and Tom Show," WHNN-FM (96.1) and satellite radio. Tim Allen said, "I wish I could tell a story the way Norm does... He's a master."

Marty Smith is a professional actor and standup comic who can be seen on any given night singing his humorous songs, and delivering his "mature" perspective on the human condition all over Michigan. Martin Kohn of The Detroit Free Press said, "Marty Smith is an oddly endearing old lecher."

Khurum Sheikh, a comedian and actor, most recently appeared in the film "American Sharia", as well as a pilot for a new reality show about up and coming comedians. He has won several comedy contests and performed from L.A. to New York City. He has worked locally at the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase, Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, Joey's Comedy Club in Livonia, and the Michigan Theatre in Jackson.

Amy Probst is an actress, comic, and writer and is known for teaching "Lynda Barry's Writing the Impossible" writing workshops. She is also a major league dreidelist.

Chillian Thomas has performed at clubs across Michigan, including The Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, Joey's in Livonia, the Comedy Zone in Lansing and the Comedy Showcase in Ann Arbor. He is also an actor, appearing in the movies "Clocking Paper", "Cupie Doll", and "Bull's Eye", and on stage in "Julius X" at Plowshares Theatre Company, and "Tony and Tina's Wedding" at Andiamo's in Warren, Michigan.
