Just in time for Valentine's Day - the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre is delighted to announce an exciting 90th Season special event!
Television and Broadway veterans Edie Falco and Stephen Wallem will entertain Kalamazoo area audiences in a very special production of A.R. Gurney's thrilling romantic play, Love Letters on the Civic Auditorium stage Thursday, February 14th and Friday, February 15th at 7:30 pm.
Edie Falco is an award winning actress best known for her television roles as Carmela Soprano on the HBO series The Sopranos from 1999-2007 and as the title role in the Showtime Series Nurse Jackie from 2009-2015. Falco has won several Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG awards and is the first female actor to receive the Television Critics Association Award for Individual Achievement in Drama.
Stephen Wallem is a SAG Award-nominated actor best known as Thor Lundgren for seven seasons on the Emmy-winning Showtime series Nurse Jackie starring Edie Falco. Other TV appearances include Horace and Pete, Hulu's Difficult People and HBO's Divorce. Love Letters is the story of a 50-year correspondence between Melissa Gardner and her childhood-friend-turned-love-interest, Andrew Makepeace Ladd III. An evocative, touching, funny play where what is implied is as revealing and meaningful as what is actually written. Love Letters will be an evening at the audiences will long remember!
Love Letters is a special fundraising event to celebrate the Civic's 90th season.
Tickets are $50 per person and include a post-show reception with Ms. Falco and Mr. Wallem.
