Tickets ($20-$45) are on sale now at www.detroitpublictheatre.org or in person at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra box office.

The holidays are always a wild family affair at the Shealy house. But this year, Dotty and her three grown children gather with more than exchanging presents on their minds. As Dotty struggles to hold onto her memory, her children must fight to balance care for their mother and care for themselves. A hilarious and deeply moving new play, Dot grapples unflinchingly with aging parents, midlife crises, and the heart of a West Philly neighborhood.

Dot is written by Colman Domingo. Nominated for Olivier, Tony, Drama Desk and Drama League Awards, Domingo is an OBIE and Lucille Lortel Award-winning actor, playwright and director. Dot, his most recent play, premiered Off Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre.

The Detroit Public Theatre production of Dot is directed by Saheem Ali and features Christopher Corporandy, Shawntay Dalon, Artun Kircali, Tracey Conyer Lee, Maggie Meyer, Madelyn Porter, and Curtis Wiley. Performances begin in previews on Wednesday and Thursday, November 16 & 17, with opening night, Friday, November 18, and performances through Sunday, December 11. A complete schedule follows.
